I am trying to change my own way of thinking and grow stronger.. as artists, our work reflects such. So many crazy things happening due to racism, and not just in Florida, its happening in our own cities; our corner stores, our malls, our streets, job interviews.. everywhere. Being a colored person experiencing and observing racism, one may get bitter towards the other race.. but, what is race? The color..the hue..of someones skin, something so small that has all these things placed upon it, making the skin over our ligaments so heavy.. With this piece I attempted wanted to make race look small. Because who are we really? WE ARE CULTURE
